Portrait practice stages

Description

I decided to try my hand a realism again.

The second row is the picture of the first row, mirrored. And the last column is edited with the contrast, showing my current problem: lack of contrast while painting.

I actually tried to paint a young boy(as witnessed by the first picture) but I was stupid enough to edit the nose(making the nosebridge more straight) as well as take away too much of the cheeks.
But none the less I was happy to find that when putting it in full-contrast it actually can be mistaken for a photoshoped photograph, meaning the facial-anatomy is actually getting somewhere.

Some mistakes in the colar bone, the ear and the hair, and I think the eyes are a bit weird, but I'm completely blind to it now.

I tried shading by first going to brown then to a greyish blue.

Have lots of other stuff done lately, but most is traditional, may have a big update session sometime.
